Louis Vuitton Exhibit

This is a little throwback. In the cold, bitter freeze of the New York winter I ventured down to the Financial District (a very rare occurrence for me as a Manhattanite who views Tribeca as far enough) in order to visit the fabulous Volez, Voguez, Voyagez Louis Vuitton exhibit.

Louis Vuitton took over the former American Stock Exchange building to bring this beautiful journey to life. The exhibit charted the history of the famous trunk created in 1854, which marked the start of this great brand, to the present. This immersive exhibit spanned three levels of the building and provided a look behind the scenes of the brand and displayed how savoir-faire has driven the story of Louis Vuitton from the beginning. These are just a few photos from the very large exhibition. I especially enjoyed seeing some of the more recent collaborations the brand has done such as the Jeff Koons bags.
