A Visit to the Hermès Carré Club
Living in New York City there are always events and pop ups happening, none more than during fashion week. This fall fashion week I attended the Hermès Club Carré pop up, celebrating the famous carré scarf that has long been a staple of the Hermès brand. This immersive experience was so creative and colorful and really made me appreciate the making of the scarf in a way I never could otherwise.
There were a variety of areas in the pop up including a shopping area with limited-edition scarves, a portrait station with multiple artists, the Carré Studio with a variety of artists and installations that detail how each scarf is crafted, from design to sketching, an entire Hermès branded café complete with candy and branded coffee cups, a karaoke room and the Carré stories section where you can listen to accounts of carré scarf experiences. Overall, I saw a view into the making of these beautiful silk scarves that I never would have otherwise and I have gained a new appreciation for the artisans who create them. It as truly an inspiration and I hope you enjoy these few photos from the event.
