Spring at Van Cleef & Arpels

In May, I had the honor of attending a private event at the Van Cleef & Arpels store on Fifth Avenue to celebrate the beginning of Spring and the launch of the new Frivole collection. The event was held in a private room that had been transformed into a Spring paradise! There were colorful flowers spilling out of the walls and piled high like some sort of spring wonderland. It created a very welcome contrast to the terrible freezing cold rain that was going on out side—in May!

I had the best time sipping on tea and munching on little bites that were being served around the room and ofcourse trying on some of these amazing beauties! I was shown the complete new Frivole collection which had many beautiful and more affordable pieces, I absolutely fell in love with the pave earrings and ring. Then my lovely friend showed me some of the high jewelry pieces, which always get my heart racing. I especially loved the amazing one of a kind opal necklace (shown here) from the Le Secret collection that came out last year. All the pieces from that collection hold secret messages, some in writing some are hidden objects that can be revealed. This one had a secret written message on the backs of the diamond flower pieces, one of which also doubled as the clasp. How genius! I always leave Van Cleef & Arpels feeling so inspired and sometimes with a bag containing something sparkly!
